Whether offset or digital printing is better for custom-made boxes? The short answer is it mostly depends on the quantity you need to be printed and how fast you need it done. Offset printing requires a larger upfront cost of producing plates but has a lower unit cost on large print runs. If you are planning to run almost 1,000 boxes than an offset is the right choice. Digital printing is best for short runs as there is no upfront cost for plates and has the additional benefit of faster turnaround.
There are tons of options when it comes to box printing. Mailer boxes are commonly used as retail gift boxes and subscription shipping boxes. On the other hand Sleeve & Slider boxes or Die-cut Window boxes are used for products and merchandise. The options are limitless, it all depends on what you need the box for.

Boxes are folded along the lines making sure the ink don't crack along the edges. Hinges are added or glued where it is necessary. Boxes are shipped either as flat sheets(easy to assemble) or can also be shipped after kitting and fulfillment.
